Normally I would tell you not to micromanage your team. But when it comes to knowing if your critical web services and resources are online and working properly, you need to be the first to know if there’s an issue.
That’s where Freshping by Freshworks comes to the assistance. I was delighted when I discovered they will monitor 50 URLs for me, every minute, for free. And on top of that, they will give me 5 public status pages so I can share with my users, so they are in the know as well (and hopefully can see the stellar uptime that I’m delivering to them).
Freshping is definitely a breath of fresh air in terms of the features they are providing, and in this video, I set up a new account, some monitoring, a status page, and do my normal exploration of configuration options.
Check out this video, and let me know what you think about using Freshping for keeping track of your critical websites and alerting everyone who needs to know.
