I’ve been covering a lot of live chat tools the past few weeks and it just shows there is a lot of competition and a lot of demand in this segment. Everyone is getting hip to web-based customer support and incorporating live chat as part of that.
What I like about HelpCrunch is they tie together a very robust live chat feature with help desk, email automation, in-app support, and have a knowledge base and chatbots coming soon. They appear to be a direct competitor to Intercom but at a fair price point.
